The San Saba Tennis Team hosted a tournament in San Saba on March 12-13. Teams in the tournament were Brady, Lago Vista, Mason and San Saba. In girls doubles Joannah Crosby and Joely Haverland won first place. Josie Dawson and Morgan Jimenez won third place. In boys doubles, Alex Baker and Gunnar Hibler won first place. In mixed doubles Karlee Cromer and Aaron Krueger won second place. Mikayla Eden and J. T. Holland won third place. Micah Cox and Drew Daniel came in fourth place. In girls singles Kristen Isham won second place. Marissa Anaya finished in fifth place. In boys singles, J . T. Holland came in third place and Drew Daniel finished in sixth place.

On Saturday, March 16, the San Saba Tennis Association sponsor an alumni match and hamburger lunch. Alumni playing in the match were Rosa Botello, Cheray Haverland, Dani Gilgrease, Lauren Dawson, Tara Crosby, Ron Pollard, Wayne Churchill, Kevin Verette, Felix Botello, Casey Phillips, Michael Calderon, Scotty Hibler and Diego Gonzales. Special thanks to Karl Haverland for cooking the hamburgers.

The San Saba Tennis Team will play the first round of district play on March 21 in Stephenville at Tarleton University. The final round will be played on March 28.
