Thursday, March 21, 2013 • Posted March 20, 2013

The Lampasas County Higher Education Center (LCHEC) has released 2013 applications for the Edward Jones Pursuit of Excellence scholarship (sponsored by Ken McDaniel, Edward Jones Investments, Lampasas) and for the LCHEC scholarship. Both scholarships are for $500. The deadline for both applications is April 5, 2013. Applications must be received in the LCHEC office by that date.

The Pursuit of Excellence scholarship is for tuition for college credit courses taken at LCHEC. Applications will be judged on the basis of academic success, citizenship, and character.

The LCHEC scholarship covers half of the total cost of tuition and building use fees for college credit courses taken at LCHEC. The student is responsible for the other half of these expenses. Applications will be judged on the basis of need, citizenship, and character.

Both scholarships are open to anyone who is registering for college credit classes at LCHEC.

Scholarship applications can be found online at www.LCHEC.com, on the Lampasas High School website, or in the LCHEC office. LCHEC is at 208 East Avenue B (across from Badger Field), Lampasas.
