GED Test to be given
Thursday, January 29, 2009 • Posted January 29, 2009

The GED test will be given at Gatesville High School-February 10 and 11 at Gatesville High in Room 22. You must register to take the test Wednesday, February 4, in Room 22 at Gatesville High from 5-7:00 pm. You need to bring with you your Texas Drivers License or State or Federal Photo ID, Social Security card, and $65. The candidate will also need to bring the ID to the test. The registration will take about 30 minutes to an hour. If the candidate is 17, he needs to bring a guardian with him to register and also have withdrawal papers from the last school he attended. If you failed the test between 2002 and 2008 and need to retake one or more parts, each part cost $15 to retest and it must have been six months since you took the test or you have a letter from the instructor saying that you are ready to take the test. You will need to bring a copy of the previous test scores if you have tested before. If you are under 18, there are other qualifications also. The test will be given at 5:15 pm on both February 10 and 11. You must attend both nights to complete the test. You must bring ID with you all three nights. It usually takes about 4 hours each night for testing. Please share this information with anyone that you think might be interested in taking the test. If there are other questions, please call Barbara Huntley at 865-8281 or 856-2460.
