On Saturday, the San Saba High School Power lifting team competed in the DeLeon meet. The team increased in numbers and increased in weight totals from the Brownwood meet, thus showing great improvement.

The San Saba Boys team finished 4th out of 14 teams. 6 of the 8 lifters that competed received individual medals for their accomplishments. We also had one girl compete and she received a medal, too.

We are extremely proud of the way our lifters competed at this meet and the great improvements they showed from last week. If you get a chance to see any of our lifters, please pat them on the back and let them know what a wonderful job they are doing representing San Saba High School and our community.

Alan Hale = 1st place in the 132 lb. class

Alex Cervantes = 3rd place in the 148 lb. class

Jack Whitten = 5th place in the 165 lb. class

Anthony Salinas = 2nd place in the 275 lb. class

Tyler McIntosh = 3rd place in the 275 lb. class

Dave Smith = 6th place in the SHW
