James B. Brumley

James B. Brumley, 88, passed away on February 13, 2013 in Hamilton, Texas. Graveside services were held on Monday, February 18, 2013 at San Saba Cemetery in San Saba with military honors and a Masonic service.

James Brumley was born on April 19, 1924, in Graham, Texas, to Charles and Josie Brumley. He joined the army in 1941 and served as a paratrooper until he was injured in World War II. He married Florene Sanderson in 1957. He retired from repairing telephones in California andmoved to Texas in 1974 and- had lived in San Saba since his retirement. Jim was a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his two daughters, April Fiur and husband, Henry of Cordova, Tennessee, and Adonna Thomas of San Saba; granddaughter, Julie Anne Freyman; grandson, Kevin Scott Fiur; nieces, Linda Jo Sutherland and Phyillis Kay Brearley; and nephews, Michael Bentley and Jack Bentley.

Preceding James in death was his wife, Florene Brumley; his parents, his sisters, Marion Bentley and Fern Cocks, and his brother, Calvin Brumley.

Services were under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home San Saba.
