Bobbye Jo Parker Summers was born October 26, 1932 and went to be with our Lord February 19, 2013. Bobbye’s parents were Jesse James Parker and Minnie Davis Parker. On December 21, 1951, Bobbye married James Orville Summers and had one son, Timothy Worth Summers.

Bobbye was preceded in death by her husband, James Orville Summers; their son, Timothy; her parents, Jesse and Minnie; sisters, Hazel Parker and Mary Crooks; one brother, Jesse James Parker Jr. and nephew Bill Crooks, Jr.

Mrs. Summers is survived by sisters–in-law, June Riggs and husband, Woodrow of San Saba and Nell Harris of Fort Worth; brothers-in-law, Bill Crooks of Austin, Chuck Summers and wife, Clara of Stockton, CA, Slifton Summers and wife, Jean of Midland; nieces, Belinda Means and husband, Steve of Austin, Janiece Ingram of Austin, Sandy Del Monte of Spicewood, Sheila Harris of Fort Worth, Brenda Flood and husband, Tim of Stockton, CA, and Tammy Dohring and husband, Chris of Stockton, CA; nephews, Rick Harris of Fort Worth, Steve Riggs of Plugerville, Gary Summers and wife, Jackie, Larry Summers and wife, Elaine, Scott Summers and wife, Elizabeth all of California. Numerous great and great-great nieces and nephews.

Visitation for Bobbye Summers was held Sunday, February 24, 2012 at 2 – 3 P.M . at Heritage Funeral Home San Saba. Services followed at 3 P.M. in the chapel. Burial was at San Saba Cemetery.
