Dillo lifters compete in Strawn
Thursday, February 28, 2013 • Posted February 27, 2013

On Friday, the San Saba High School Power lifting team competed in the Strawn meet. The team increased in numbers and increased in weight totals from the Brady meet, thus showing great improvement. The San Saba Boys team finished 2nd out of 17 teams and there were several two and three A and four A teams at this meet. Most weight classes had at least 15 lifters or more in their weight classes. All boys and scored points towards the team totals. All seven of our lifters received medals. This meet was a highly competitive meet and our lifters should be congratulated on their performances. The Dillo lifters are continually working harder and bettering their totals each and every week and we are extremely proud of their performances. They should be commended for their performance and the great season they had. We got second place as a team in two of our meets this year. We look forward to seeing their improvements next year. Also, we qualified five boys and two girls for the regional power lifting meets. Qualifying for regionals is a great accomplishment so please let these lifters know how great they are. Thank you for your support of our program!!
