Five Armadillo Basketball Players earn All District Honors

The San Saba boys’ basketball team was represented very well this year in District 12 1A. Congratulations go to Kelan Verette for being voted the district Offensive MVP!!!!!!! Kelan averaged 24 points per game in district play and was an 80% FT shooter. We had two players earn First Team honors. J.T. Mathis and Aaron Perez. J.T averaged 7.1 points per game in district and led the team in assists. Aaron averaged 7.5 points per game and 8 rebounds per game. Another thing that Aaron did this year was leading the team in charges taken. Aaron took 6 charges in district play and 13 on the year and had 10 others that could have been called either way.

Luis Vega earned Second Team honors. Luis averaged 7 points per game, 4.5 rebounds per game, and led the team in deflections. Issac Zepeda earned Honorable Mention honors. Issac averaged 3.6 points per game, 3.7 rebounds per game.

Congratulations go to these young men for their hard work and dedication.
