Fellowship of Christian Women to hold luncheon February 28th
Thursday, February 21, 2013 • Posted February 20, 2013

Ladies of the First Presbyterian Church are making preparations for the February Fellowship of Christian Women’s Luncheon next Thursday, February 28th. The luncheon will feature Casseroles and Desserts and begins at 11:30 a.m. All the ladies in the county are invited to the downstairs fellowship hall and ladies in their 40’s are treated this month and do not bring food. Other ages are to choose a casserole or a dessert to share around the serving tables. A nursery can be available for preschoolers by phoning Sharon Hayes in advance, so arrangements may be made. Do remember to bring food for your children if you want them to eat during the luncheon.

Brother Alvino and Lisa Valdez have agreed to come that day and share their missionary trip to Mole Saint Nicholas, Haiti.

Last November a group of 17 led by International Commission, arrived in Haiti with the primary purpose of telling people about Jesus. Mikki Martin has told us about this group several times. They loved the entire experience: people are beautiful, country is beautiful and the hospitality was wonderful. Walking everywhere they went was a new idea for them, and their smaller group served along the beach meeting many people, as well as planned visits in the homes. Alvino and Lisa have pictures to show us and stories to tell of many people becoming Christians in the 10 days. Hope you will mark your calendar and make your plans to come next Thursday to enjoy the fellowshipping and to hear this exciting evangelism experience.
