The residents at Pecan Valley Nursing and Rehabilitation recently celebrated Valentine's Day with a day full of festivities. To start the morning off, the 4th grade students from San Saba Elementary came to visit with residents and exchange valentine cards with them. Several residents had made their own valentine cards earlier in the day to exchange with the students.

The students had a blast playing with "Lady", a little dog that belongs to one of the residents that lives here. Many of them also gathered around to watch a game of dominoes that was going on. Some of the students said that they played dominoes at home, while others were fascinated with the game.

Later that day, Cecilio Chavarria was crowned the "King of Hearts" and Laura Lawson was crowned the "Queen of Hearts". Residents all hit the jack pot with a few games of Bingo. Then everyone enjoyed cupcakes, punch and Valentine bags full of goodies. Happy Valentine Day from the residents and staff at PVNR!
