Melba Annette Newby

Melba Annette Newby, 72, of Richland Springs passed away on Tuesday, February 5, 2013, at her home. Graveside services took place at 2:00 P.M. on Friday, February 8, 2013 at Richland Springs Cemetery in Richland Springs, Texas.

Annette was born to Ben and Agnes Hubbert on September 7, 1940 in San Saba, Texas. She married LA Newby on July 22, 1959. They had two boys, Aleck and Lance Newby.

Annette was a loving mother and grandmother. She loved to paint ceramics, shopping, and decorating the house. She was a member of the First Christian Church and a member of the CSF.

Survivors include her sons; Aleck Newby and wife, Gwen, of Holland, and Lance Newby of Richland Springs; grandchildren, Tiffnie Newby Lotts and husband, Adam, Dusty LA Newby, Chance Brantner; great-grandson, Lawson Joseph Lotts; sister-in-law, Renee Maxcey and husband, BJ of Richland Springs; sister-in-law, Ivadell Hubbert and 4 nieces and 3 nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, LA Newby; her parents, Ben and Agnes Hubbert, and one brother, Benney Hubbert.

Family requests that donations be made to Solaris Hospice 413 Center Ave. Brownwood, Texas 76801.
