The San Saba Tennis Team played in the Copperas Cove Tournament on January 31. Teams at the tournament were Brownwood, Killeen Ellison, Liberty Hill, San Saba, Waco High, Llano, China Springs, Killeen Shoemaker, Lampasas, Georgetown, Harker Heights, and Copperas Cove.

Joannah Crosby and Joely Haverland won all 5 of their matches to win the girls doubles championship. Kristen Isham lost a tough 1st round match in a tie-breaker and then came back to win the next 4 matches to win consolation in girls singles. Will Cooley and Drew Daniel won 4th place in Boys Doubles. Gunnar Hibler and Alex Baker were quarterfinalist in Boys Doubles. Playing in the tournament for San Saba were Jairo Casco, Omar Argote, Aaron Krueger, Jantzen Bell, Marissa Anaya, Mikayla Eden, Joannah Crosby, Joely Haverland, Josie Dawson, Morgan Jimenez, Allison Christian, A.J. Gamboa, Will Cooley, Drew Daniel, Ashton Krueger, Reigan Casco, Alex Baker, Gunnar Hibler, Erin Sanders, Kristen Isham, and Amy Sanders.

The JV Tennis Team will play in the Llano JV Tournament on Thursday, February 7, the Varsity Team will play in the Llano Varsity Tournament on Friday, February 8, and on Saturday February 9 the Varsity Team will play Copperas Cove at 8:15 a.m. in Copperas Cove and then at 1:00 p.m. they will travel to Killeen to play Killeen Ellison.
