Thursday, February 7, 2013 • Posted February 7, 2013

The GED Test will be given at Gatesville High School February 12th and 13th.

Individuals wishing to take the test must complete registration between 5 and 7p.m. on February 6th. Be prepared to spend 30 minutes to one hour when registering.

You will need to bring a current state or federal photo ID, Social Security Card, and $80 fee for the test. Registration will be held in Room 22 of Gatesville High. Enter the high school from the rear to find this room easily.

Before you register, you must go on-line to www.utk16.org/scoring to fill out a demographic form. If you failed the test from 2002 through 2012, and need to retest one of more parts, each part cost $15 to retest. You need to bring a copy of the previous test scores if you have tested before.

There are other qualifications if you are under 18.

Please encourage anyone you know that needs to complete their education to find out about the test. The test will change after 2013, so if you have taken it and not completed it, you need to be sure to complete it in 2013.

The GED Test will be administered Tuesday and Wednesday, February 12th and 13th, in Room 22 at Gatesville High School, at 5:15p.m. For more information, please call 254-865-8281, 223-1802, or 865-2460. Please report by 5:15 to take the test and be sure to bring original cards, license, social security card, and registration receipt at the time of testing.

If you know of someone interested in taking the GED, please pass this information on to them.
