Thursday, February 7, 2013 • Posted February 7, 2013

On Monday, January 28, 2013, the committee members for the San Saba County Relay for Life benefiting the American Cancer society met at the Commercial National Bank to make plans for this year's event which will be held on Friday, April 19, 2013 at Riesen Park. Walking Thru the Decades will be the theme with each team representing a different decade. Several teams have been formed, but there is plenty of room for more. All cancer survivors and caregivers are encouraged to join a team.

Luminarias may be purchased from any team member or at Commercial National Bank as a memorial or celebration for those who have had or continue to suffer with cancer. The recipients of the luminarias will be recognized at 9p.m. at the relay.
