Receipts totaled 1792 head for the week. The market continued its strength after last week’s increase. Activity was good and demand was strong. The stocker steers and heifers sold steady and the feeder steers and heifers were also steady. Packer cows were steady to $1.00 higher with the top cow at $87.50. Packer bulls were also steady. We sold 115 bulls that were all tested and ready to be turned out and saw very strong demand on all classes with a good crowd on hand and 553 on the internet. The top Angus bull brought $3800.00, Charolais bull $3900.00, Hereford bull $4000.00, and Limousin bull $2400.00. Pairs and bred cows sold on a steady market.

Steers: choice lightweight calves 185.00-210.00; choice medium weight calves 150.00-195.00; choice heavyweight calves 135.00-161.00

Heifers: choice lightweight calves 155.00-186.00; choice medium weight calves 128.00-174.00; choice heavyweight calves 120.00-141.00

Yearlings: choice lightweight steer yearlings 128.00-137.00; choice heavyweight steer yearlings 122.00-128.00; choice lightweight heifer yearlings 115.00-128.00; choice heavyweight heifer yearlings 110.00-120.00; #2 steer calves and yearlings 120.00-165.00; #2 heifer calves and yearlings 110.00-145.00; shorties and plainer calves and yearlings 110.00-125.00

Bred Cows: choice bred cows 1250.00-1525.00; medium to good bred cows 1050.00-1240.00; plainer and older bred cows 850.00-1040.00

Slaughter Cows: high yield 80.00-87.50; medium yield 74.00-79.00; low yield 65.00-73.00; heiferetts and young stockers 100.00-120.00

Bulls: high yield 98.00-104.00; medium yield 93.00-97.00; low yield 88.00-92.00; feeder 88.00-96.00

Pairs: Choice 1400.00-1530.00; medium to good 1200.00-1340.00; plainer and older 950.00-1190.00
