The San Saba Tennis Team played Brady on January 24 in San Saba and won 15 matches and only losing 3 matches. This brings the tennis team 2012-2013 season record to 6 wins and 2 loses for the year. Playing in the match against Brady were Joannah Crosby, Joely Haverland, Kristen Isham, Josie Dawson, Morgan Jimenez, MiKayla Eden, Alex Baker, Gunnar Hibler, Aaron Krueger, Jairo Casco, Will Cooley, and Drew Daniel. The Varsity and JV will play in the Copperas Cove tournament on Thursday, January 31. We will be taking 22 players and the competition should be strong with mostly 5A and 4A schools participating.

We will be having our second annual Alumni Match on Saturday, March 16 this year. All former San Saba High School players and any players that played somewhere else but live in San Saba now are welcome to come out and play. We plan on having several different divisions this year and hamburgers cooked at the tennis courts for lunch. If you would like to help or have suggestions on what we do on that day please get in touch with Cheray Haverland or Coach Cox. Also if you plan on playing or just coming to watch please let me know at least a week before March 16 so we will know how many to expect. Also if you see former players or can contact players that live out of town now please let them know about the alumni match. More information will be available later.
