San Saba Freemasons to meet February 2nd

On Saturday, February 2nd 2013, the Freemasons of San Saba Lodge No. 612 will hold their monthly stated meeting. Supper will be served at 6:30 P.M. and all Masons are asked to provide a complimentary covered side dish, bread, salad or dessert. The main course will be a Pork Loin Steak supper provided by Joe and James "Red" Ragsdale. Family and guests are invited for the evening meal. Lodge will open around 7:00 P.M.

The Worshipful Master reminds members to pay their 2013 dues of $65.00. Dues are due before December 31st. The Secretary wishes to remind all Masons to bring their community service information for January. All Master Masons are encouraged to attend.

A short memorial will be held in the memory of Clarence C. Mosby, Sr., who recently passed away. Brother Mosby was born 27 January 1920 in Grandview, Indiana. He married Juanita Busby on August 1, 1941, in Goldthwaite, Texas. He received all three degrees in San Saba Lodge and became an EA 1 June 1968, FC 2 November 1968 and MM 4 January 1969. He served as the Lodge Treasurer form 1969-1971, Tiler 1971-1972, Junior Deacon 1972-1973 and Senior Deacon 1973-1974. He received his 40 Year Service Award on 1 August 2009. Brother Mosby was a veteran of WW II and passed away on 20 January 2012. He was buried at the San Saba City Cemetery on Thursday, January 24th.

At the stated meeting on March 2nd, the Lodge will recognize deserving members with their service awards. Forty Years Awards will be presented to C. Henry Reeves & Hugh V. Ketchum. The new District Deputy Grand Master, Gary E. Farley, will present one Sixty Year Award to Jack Blossman and one Sixty-Five Year Award to George M. Rogers.
