Wednesday, January 23, 2013 • Posted January 23, 2013

At the end of January, Carolyn McDowell, San Saba County’s Family and Consumer Science Agent with the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension program will retire. She has served as our agent twice. She was a new agent when she came to San Saba as Carolyn Stackhoff in 1975. She took a break to follow other pursuits and then returned to the Extension Office in 1996.

To honor her and to show her how much she will be missed, a retirement reception will be held for her on Monday, January 28th at the San Saba County Courthouse from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. Everyone who has been touched by her Extension work is invited to attend.
