JV Boys Basketball

Going back to December 18th, the JV boys played the freshman team from Brady. Our team was missing several players this game due to the flu bug that was going around. We lost that game by the score of 34-25. Scoring for the JV Dillos: Holt Oliver (15), Josh Cazares (6), Omar Argote (2), and Roy Argote (2).

On December 21st, the boys were back in action and defeated Mason's JV by the score of 37-19. Scoring for the Dillos: John Faught (6), Oliver (7), John Welch (6), Logan Guidroz (4), Yason Aguirre (2), Ridge Smith (2), and Cazares (10).

At the end of Christmas break, the JV Dillos competed in the Blanco tournament, playing three games in two days. The Dillos lost their first game to a private school from the San Antonio area, Lutheran. The Dillos lost 26-27. Scoring for the Dillos: Faught (2), Garrett Welch (5), Oliver (3), John Welch (6), Guidroz (3), and Caelob Hardman (2). In the 2nd game of the tournament, the JV Dillos beat the Mason JV by the score of 46-7. Scoring in that game: Faught (11), G. Welch (8), Oliver (8), J. Welch (10), Smith (2), Hardman (6), and Cazares (2). In the Consolation game, the JV Dillos lost another game that went down to the wire. The JV Dillos were defeated by Harper, by the score of 36-39. Scoring in that game: Faught (7), G. Welch (2), Oliver (2), J. Welch (4), Guidroz (8), Aguirre (2), Hardman (10) and Cazares (1).

On Friday, January 4th, the JV boys fell to Johnson City JV by the score of 23-40. Scoring for the Dillos: Faught (3), Oliver (2), Guidroz (4), Smith (2), Cazares (8).

This week our boys' teams begin district, and host Meridian on January 8th. They travel to Goldthwaite on Friday, the 11th.
