A Fresh Start

Now is a good time of year to look over our schedules and evaluate them. We do not have to follow the old and can start anew if need be. God needs to be in our lives but sadly, many people leave God totally out of the picture, and this can lead to sorrowful consequences.

This Christmas season it really came home to me about how much time my wife and I spend in Church and as my old grandmother used to say, "That is all I have." It is not just being in Church but it is also where friends are, and we do things with them in and out of Church. Yes, there are the prayer meetings, Bible studies, preparing food for the needy, meals for college students once a month, church dinners and other events; but this is where we go to worship God. Not just at the Church, but also a quiet time of Bible study and prayer at home is essential. My new life is so different from the old because the old was a life without God or Christ. My new life started with me accepting Jesus Christ many years ago, (John 3:16, Romans 5:8). There is so much joy, love and peace in my life, marriage and family, (John 15:11, Romans 14:17). God has truly blessed. God has this life for all who come to Him, (Matthew 11:28). See you in Church next Sunday!
