Wallace Creek EE Club holds January meeting

Lynn Blankenship hosted the Wallace Creek Extension Education Club Thursday, January 15 in her home.

Mrs. Blankenship called the meeting to order. She passed out the new membership cards and the new yearbooks. The roll call was answered to the question, "When was your last doctor's visit?" Most everyone had been to their doctor within the last year. Minutes were read. The treasurer's report was given. The council report was given.

The Pecan Food Show was reported on, with most of the members receiving places. One member, Imogene Hawkins had the Champion cake, and others with top placings.

Lucy Wilson was selected to be a delegate for the district 7 TEEA meeting to be in April. Marilyn Miller was selected to attend the May Event Planning Committee on February 5, at the library. The May Event was discussed. The state TEEA meeting will be September 15-17, 2009 in San Angelo.

The Wallace Creek Stew Supper will not be held this year in February. We are sorry to disappoint our friends who look forward to the event.

The meeting was adjourned.

Margie Osborn gave the program of HGC diet. It is monitored by the doctor and has a special food. She had brought some of the dressing for tasting.

The next meeting will be February 19, 2009. The club invites anyone interested to attend.
