The Bend Community meeting went off as scheduled Saturday night. The Riverbend performers showed up as scheduled with Kay Lynn Scott, but was a little late getting their act together as Mark Scott had trouble finding the Bend Community Building in the big city of Bend. It gave everyone a good laugh at the expense of him.

The meal was served and a business meeting was conducting while waiting for his arrival and boy, the performance of the group was really something. The young performers provided some foot stomping music which everyone enjoyed.

The group consisted of Kyla Duncan ( a one time resident of Bend), Gabe Johnson, Tyler Lackey (who has a grandmother living at Bend) and Kandyce Simpson. Allison Hendrick of the Bend community also sang a song which everyone enjoyed.

Three performers out of five that have connection to Bend isn’t bad at all! The other two can be adopted. The group will be heard from again, you can just bet on it.

New officers were elected to serve the Bend Community Saturday night. The new officers are Jim Hicks president, Phil B McCoury, vice-president and Hugo Preece 2nd vice-president, Lisa Preece will be the new secretary/treasurer and Tommy Smithhart will be the parliamentarian. They will serve for two years.

On the sick list is a couple of people. Barbara Jones came down with a severe case of a sore throat and coughing and the latest news is that she is still not over the bug.
