Jose Rocha of San Saba, receives a $100 Good Neighbor VISA Checkcard from State Farm Agent Mike Thomas. Jose’s winning entry was drawn at the recent "Fiestas Patrias" celebration. The Fiestas Patrias celebration reminds us that the spirit of freedom is indomitable and helps maintain a bond between Latinos in Texas and across the US, and their home countries throughout the Americas. In the same way that the United States celebrates the 4th of July, México and several Latin American countries observe their independence during the month of September, including Belize, Brazil, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras, El Salvador, Guatemala, and Chile.
