Brooke Esquivel, daughter of Larry & Robin Esquivel, was awarded a red ribbon for her knitted prayer shawl at the Lampasas County Spring Ho Fair. Brooke learned how to knit by attending the4-H Sticks & Strings knitting class that began in March under the direction of Cathy Ledbetter. The group first learned to finger knit and then advanced to knitting with needles. She has also made a baby blanket for a gift and a hoodie scarf.
