Pictured is Bryant Patton 91 of San Saba with peppers which he grew. Some of the peppers were 8 inches long. Mr. Patton did not think he would be able to care for a garden this year but when spring came he knew he had to garden. Not being able to walk very far, he rode his scooter to plant and tend the garden. Mr. Patton served in the army from 1941-1945, worked for the city of San Saba for 24 years and has been a member of the Assembly of God Church for 65 years.
