Two San Saba Armadillos will be continuing their football careers at the college level next year. On Friday, February 3, 2012, Luke Cox and Ryan Pannell signed a letter of intent to play football for Wayland Baptist University Pioneers in Plainview, Texas. This will be the inaugural season for Wayland Baptist, a NAIA school that played football years ago and is now bringing back the program. Luke is a 3 year varsity starter for the Dillos at wide receiver and defensive back. Ryan is also a 3 year starter at quarterback and safety. Both players have received All-District honors at their respective positions as well as being honored on the All-State Academic Team. Luke is the son of David and Terry Cox. His sisters are Kelli and Micah Cox. Ryan is the son of Jeff and Dana Pannell and has one sister, Raylee.
