Mrs. Chambers’ San Saba English II Honor students participated in Toga Day. On this almost annual day students wear togas and recite the famous speech from Shakespeare’s Julius Caesar. The lines beginning, “Friends, Roman, Countrymen lend me your ears...” were studied and presented orally by memory to the class. Mrs. Chambers said, “Togas make the assignment more entertaining and memorable for the students. I was really proud of the quality and participation this year. They are a great group of sophomores.”
