San Saba TDCJ Unit holds Fallen OfficeSan Saba TDCJ

The San Saba Unit of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice held a Fallen Officer Memorial on Friday, May 6th. Warden Kenneth Dean welcomed everyone to the gathering and recognized visitors. The American & Texas flags were raised and then lowered to half mast. Taps was heard in the distance played by Tanner Hawkins, SSISD student. An explanation was given of the nine articles on "The Missing Officer’s Table" and the empty chair. A list of fallen officers was read and Chaplain Michael Taylor led the group in prayer. Karen Whiting closed the ceremony by singing Amazing Grace.
