Malissa Mims, Director of The Dove Project in San Saba, approached her Board of Directors with the idea of doing a Lock-in so that she would be able to relate to the clients. On Friday, April 1 from 7p.m. until Saturday April 2nd at 7 p.m. Malissa and son, Harbor; Board Member, Lewann Turner and daughter, Elizabeth; staff assistant, Ashley Torres and son, Trendon, experienced a Lock-in. It was certainly not a "slumber party" because they did not have all the comforts of their homes. Each one, except the infant, brought only items that would fit in a ziplock quart bag. Through this experience Malissa is making some changes, purchasing needed items, and is more sensative and compassionate to the needs of the clients.
