Pictured above are Willard and Katherine Jordan. Willard spoke to fourth graders at San Saba Elementary on March 10, 2011. Students are reading a book called A Paradise Called Texas. The book is about a German family that immigrates to Texas in 1845. Students are learning about the hardships and tragedies that accompany such a journey. Mr. Jordan is related to the family within the book. He shared historical information and family pictures, which added so much depth to the children’s learning.
