For an individual service project for the RSHS National Honor Society, Krista Maultsby and Sara Hedley held a cupcake/bake sale at school to raise $125.00 for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation during breast cancer awareness week. Susan G. Komen fought breast cancer with her heart, body, and soul. Through endless days in the hospital, she spent her time thinking of ways to battle breast cancer instead of worrying about her own situation. The foundation bearing her name has now raised over $1.5 billion dollars since its inception in 1982. Krista and Sara are shown presenting the money they raised with their small bake sale to Mary Katherine Adams, a local representative for the Susan G. Komen for the Cure Foundation.
