Young man with San Saba ties wins Golf Channel Championship

Jacob Hibler, son of Pete and Lisa Hibler of Midland, TX. is not your average golfer. In September, Jacob became the second youngest person ever to win the Golf Channel Amateur Tour National Championship, the largest amateur tour in North America. This accomplishment is why the junior at Midland Christian is last week's West Texas MVP. Jacob is the grandson of Shirley and Larry Hibler of San Saba and Gene and Barbara Arguijo of Poteet, TX.
