Thursday, November 4, 2010 • Posted November 4, 2010

The San Saba Grammar School is commemorated with this year’s Historical Christmas Ornament created for the San Saba County Historical Commission. The school, which was torn down in 1961, was located on the present day practice field. This is the sixth ornament in the series highlighting San Saba County’s history. Members of the Historical Commission will be selling the ornaments at Pecan Capital Trades Day this weekend. The ornaments will also be available at G & R Grocery and the Rylander Library. For more information e-mail: jerlyn@centex.net. See the article recounting the history of the Grammar School on Page 8.
