Henson-Weyerts exchange Wedding Vows

Treasure LaChelle Henson and John Curtis Weyerts of San Saba exchanged wedding vows in a formal ceremony Saturday, September 13, 2008. The double ring ceremony was held at The Father's House Church in San Saba. Officiating the ceremony was Pastor Stuart Beckwith of the Pecan Grove Baptist Church.

Mother of the bride is Tammy Henson of Odessa and the grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Chastain of Abernathy, Texas. Parents of the groom are Gene and Carolyn Weyerts of San Saba. Grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. B.W. Edmondson of the Spring Creek Community and the late June Livingston of San Angelo, Texas.

The bride was escorted down the aisle by her brother, David Katlain Hayes of Lubbock, Texas. The bride chose a white strapless formal, taffeta, princess style ballroom gown with a sweetheart neckline, corset back, and was featured with crystal and pearl beading over the entire dress. She carried a cascading bouquet of dark red roses and greenery covered with rhinestones throughout accented with chocolate brown satin ribbon.

Christina Cabrera of San Saba, a friend of the bride, served as the Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were: Danielle Daniel of San Saba, friend of the bride; Laura Hayes of Lubbock, sister-in-law of the bride; Joni Carroll of Mullin, friend of the bride. The attendants wore chocolate brown satin dresses with chiffon overlay and rhinestone trim. They carried bouquets of dark red roses.

Zane Weyerts of San Saba, brother of the groom, served as the Best Man. The groomsmen were: Britton Edmondson of San Saba, cousin of the groom; Wesley Adams of San Saba, friend of the groom; and Ben Henniger of Bend, Texas, friend of the groom. They all wore black tuxedos with brown vests.

The ring bearer was Ethan Edmondson and the flower girl was Carlee Edmondson of San Saba, cousins of the groom. Ushers were Tanner and Tye Weyerts of San Saba, nephews of the groom and Billy Sutton of San Saba, friend of the bride and groom. Presiding at the registration table was Tara Ketchum of San Saba, friend of the bride and groom.

The church was decorated with large white columns and arches that were covered with red roses and ferns. Special music for the wedding was provided by Dee Vickery of San Saba, a friend of the bride and groom and families.

Following the ceremony a reception was held in the fellowship hall of the church and a catered buffet meal was provided by Betty Ann Johnson. A beautifully decorated table with a three tiered bride's cake covered in red roses was attended by Alice Edmondson of San Saba, Rhoni McClennahan and Alyssa Barnhill of Marble Falls, cousins of the groom. The guests were seated at tables decorated with rose topiary trees.

The groom's parents hosted a dance at their home following the reception. The music was provided by GGC Productions of Cedar Park, Texas.

Prior to the wedding the couple was honored with a wedding coffee in the home of Alice Edmondson of San Saba. After the wedding, the couple enjoyed a honeymoon in Ruidoso, N.M.
