The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met January 8, 2008 for the monthly business meeting with the following ladies present: Bobbie Churchill, Jo Anne Hardy, Shirley Hardin, Becky Hardin, Nell McHorse, Dorothy Sterner, and Anita Miles.

The President, Anita Miles, called the meeting to order and the meeting was opened with prayer led by the Club Chaplain, Nell McHorse. The Secretary was absent therefore there were no minutes. The Treasurer, Bobbie Churchill, gave the financial report.

Becky Hardin, Handicap Chair, gave out the new cards and announced that the handicaps would be figured monthly.

Sandy Hartley, Four Ball Chair, announced that the annual meeting will be held in Fredericksburg, Texas on January 28, 2008 at the Fredericksburg’s Lady Bird Golf Course cluhouse. Any members who would like to attend need to contact Anita Miles.

If you haven’t paid your dues at this time please contact Nell McHorse so that your name will be in the 2009 Yearbook or you may pay Bobbie Churchill, Treasurer.

Four ladies played a round of golf and Shirley Hardin and Dorothy Sterner were the winners, tying for first place, defeating Sandy Hartley and Becky Hardin.

Even though the weather may prevent golf for the next few weeks, however; you never know in Texas, the ladies will still meet and play games and have lunch and fellowship so will not miss out on this fun. With bad weather we will be meeting at the RV Park Community Room at the San Saba River Golf Course. If there is no wind and only sunshine we will be “swinging!”
