Barbara Ketchum Brown of Corpus Christi passed away Saturday, January 3, 2009 in a health care facility in Portland, TX.

Barbara was born July 30, 1941 in San Saba County, the daughter of Elvin Ketchum and Bernice Felts Ketchum.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Charles Brown of Corpus Christi; one son, Warren Brown of Brady; one daughter, Kathryn Bassham of Corpus Christi. Grandchildren, Jason Brown and his wife Belinda; Lindsay Brown; and Nicci and Amy Bassham. Great Grandchildren, Brooke Brown; and Libby Brown. One brother, Leroy Ketchum and his wife Gracie of San Saba; and one sister, Yvonne Shivener and her husband Larry of San Saba; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Barbara is preceded in death by her parents, and one brother Bobby Joe Ketchum.

Graveside Services will be held Wednesday, January 7, 2009 at 10:00 AM at the San Saba City Cemetery with Rev. Sam Crosby officiating.

Family received friend’s Tuesday, January 6, 2009, 5:00 – 6:00 PM at the Howell-Doran Funeral Home in San Saba.

The family requests that memorials be made to the American Cancer Society.
