The district will continue benchmark testing in math in efforts to prepare students and staff for the upcoming TAKS tests. Students who don’t pass the benchmark tests will be assigned mandatory after-school TAKS tutoring until they can pass the TAKS tutoring benchmark.

The Lady Coyotes basketball team now 12-5 on the season. The Lady Coyotes went undefeated and won the championship bracket at the Richland Springs tournament. The Varsity boys are 7-1 on the season. The Coyotes went undefeated and won the championship bracket at the Richland Springs tournament. Both teams will play Paint Rock at Richland Springs gym on Jan. 6th at 6 p.m. The Junior high teams will play at Lohn on Jan. 8th beginning at 6 p.m.

The San Saba County Stock Show is fast approaching and begins on Friday, January 16th. Contact Mr. McKee for assistance with your stock animals as needed.

The UIL One Act Play has been selected by director Patsy Hall. Rehearsals have begun as of Monday, January 5th and will continue weekly.

January 5th was the beginning of the second semester. Junior high and high school students should be receiving report cards in the mail this week. Call the school if you do not receive report cards in the mail this week.

It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success.
