San Saba Lodge to meet Saturday

The Freemasons of San Saba Masonic Lodge will meet Saturday evening, January 3rd at the lodge hall in San Saba. Members, their ladies and OES are asked to bring a complimentary covered side dish, salad, bread or dessert. A meal of ribs will be served at 6:30 PM, provided by the Past Master Douglas H. Merritt. Lodge will open about 7:00 PM.

The lodge charter will be draped for the month of January concerning the recent passing of Thomas B. Burnham and Emmett L Byrd. Both were esteemed and beloved members of the Craft for over 50 years.

Burnham was made an Entered Apprentice 12-2-1950, a Fellow Craft 3-3-1951, and a Master Mason 6-1-1961 in San Saba Lodge No. 612.

Byrd was made an Entered Apprentice 3-4-1950, a Fellow Craft 4-7-1950 and Master Mason 5-15-1950 of San Saba Lodge. He served as Worshipful Master in 1963 and District Deputy Grand Master in 1964 and 1966.
