It’s time again for our local communities to make Christmas a little better for children-in-need by supporting the annual “Angels Unaware” program sponsored by the San Saba County Child Welfare Board (CWB). Shortly after Thanksgiving, they place a much worn Christmas tree in the atrium of the Arrowhead Bank building in San Saba decorated with little paper Christmas ornaments.

One local 4-H member from San Saba County was among 28 youth honored during the Texas AgriLife Extension Service’s District 7 4-H Gold Star Banquet.The annual event was held November 14th in the Cactus Hotel in San Angelo. The honoree was Melanie Hedley, daughter of Mr. & Mrs. Mark Hedley of Richland Springs.

The 56th annual San Saba County Pecan Food Show will be held Friday, December 2nd at the Courthouse in San Saba. All San Saba county residents are eligible to enter. All entries must be brought to the Courthouse between 7:30 and 9:00 a.m. that day.There are 3 divisions of competition: 1.

The Board of Trustees of the San Saba ISD held a regular meeting on Monday, November 14th at 6 p.m. in the Central Administration Office. President, Kim Kirk, called the meeting to order and established a quorum with Trustee Suzie Nettleship absent. Kevin Shahan gave the invocation followed by everyone joining for the pledges to the American and Texas flags.High School students, McKenzie Hibler and Yicelle Cuevas gave a video presen-tation for FCCLA, What Is Leadership.
