I have to say the feedback I have received about this little column of mine has been nothing short of amazing. So many people have expressed their joy in reading my silliness, said they look forward each week to taking another journey with me and some even said they would be terribly sad to pick up the paper and not take a look out my window.

Most people do not know what it means unless you live in farming and ranching country. It is where farmers or ranchers mow their pastures so that weeds don’t grow up and choke the life out of the grass. It is usually done in the spring, summer and fall. I noticed a pasture last week before and after mowing and what a difference.

Both of these staples can help keep your bathroom clean in a way that’s safe for the environment. Vinegar, because of its acidity, can be good for cleaning hard water and soap scum.

It is important how we treat people. Everyone who has ever been mistreated in any way knows this. Recently a song was dedicated to a young man who took his life. The reason he took his life was because he was being bullied. If he had been treated differently, would he still be alive?

Reading Recommendations:Cold Wind, a Joe Pickett novel, C.J. BoxWhen Earl Alden is found dead, dangling from a wind turbine, it's his wife, Missy, who is arrested. Unfortunately for Joe Pickett, Missy is his mother-in-law, a woman he dislikes heartily (and vice-versa), and now he doesn't know what to do especially when the early signs point to her being guilty as sin.

Did your parents ever say this to you? "If everyone was jumping off a bridge, would you jump off too?"
For some reason, we have always thought that just because the rest of the world is doing something, it should be okay. But in Ephesians 4:17-18, we read, "So I tell you this, and insist on it in the Lord, that you must no longer live as the Gentiles do, in the futility of their thinking.
So what does this mean?

Even though San Saba has been blessed with an abundance of water, many surrounding towns have only enough water for necessities. Some have been forced to buy water from other sources. With the drought lingering on, it is a wake-up call to all of us to protect this precious resource.

When Mother Theresa of India saw people dying on the streets, she carried them into her home, and she cared for them until they died.
But a strange thing happened. When the people with terminal diseases were cared for, they felt the love of Christ. Hope sprung up in their hearts, and they lived.
They're changing the name of their place from Home of The Dying to Home of The Living.
Faith can turn trials into triumphs.

The hail started to fall before the rain and it continued to fall during the rain covering the ground. It was the size of a big taw marble down to pea size. That amount of ice would also add to the moisture.

Our district is already lean, and we managed to avoid wide-scale layoffs, but did have to eliminate one job position. Because the state budget cuts were spread over the two years of the biennium, districts will have to reduce their budgets again in 2012-13.
