JOHN 1: 1 " in the beginning was the WORD and the WORD was with GOD and the WORD was GOD." In my mind there is no doubt; the above scripture is the greatest message in your Bible. I attended the wedding of my oldest niece. She was born the year I married my wife. While I was there I thought about the passage of scripture in John 2. Jesus and His disciples have gone to a wedding in Cana of Galilee. I’m not sure (the text doesn’t say) if this was a family member, friend or acquaintance.

Dear Editor: Once again San Saba County takes a huge blow from the 33rd District, loosing another key position. Pat Wadsworth, a long time employee of adult probation was advised that she was no longer needed and due to so called budget cuts, her job was cut from the budget. I, for one, do not think that anyone understands the huge negative effect that this will have on San Saba County law enforcement and judicial personnel who work in this county ...

It is also true that as anxiety and stress builds, youth are at greater risk of turning to alcohol, marijuana or other substances as a coping mechanism. The start of a new school year can stir up a mix of emotions.
