Recently in the news, I heard and read about a woman in New York who drove her vehicle into the river. Inside were her four children. When I hear of a tragedy such as this, I am always amazed. Why would she do this? She is the only one who may ever know.
Three of her children died, but one of them rolled down a window and swam to safety.

Robert Baer was known inside the CIA as perhaps the best operative working the Middle East. Over several decades, he served everywhere from Iraq to New Delhi and racked up such an impressive list of accomplishments that he was eventually awarded the Career Intelligence Medal. It was a pretty day and I just wanted to spend some time alone. I drove around for a while and it was so nice because there was such a peace and calm in my inner being or soul. It has not always been that way in my life. Years there was a lot of unrest, frustration and no inner peace or real joy and wondering about God.

Another week without rain and thank goodness no fires in the county like those that are going on in other parts of Texas. The high winds have made it really hard to keep the fires under control that have been burning over the different parts of Texas. A warning to everyone to be extra careful and not burn anything outdoors.

Port Aransas,
The celebrated endangered species, down to just 49 whooping cranes in 1975, has grown steadily, and the count reached 574 last year. Laid end to end, these rare North American birds would span almost a half-mile, since some are nearly five feet tall!
A colorful Port Aransas printed piece trumpets "Festivals—Mustang Island Style"—one of which is a "celebration of whopping cranes and other birds."

By 1936, the Depression had become entrenched, paralyzing the country. Questions were raised as funds became obviously short. This practice of the soft hearted secretary was finally forced to an end. That year sixty-one Masons were suspended from the lodge for non payment of dues and the roster dropped from 189 to 128.
From this point forward things went from bad to worse.

Make sure the areas beneath utility lines are clear of brush, tall grass and trees to reduce the risk of los ...
