This is an effort to stimulate our thinking with ridiculous questions that no person on earth can answer. The first one will be: (Was God before the beginning?) "He had to be, because in the beginning He created the heavens and earth, and all that in them is." The second is like unto it: (Will God be after the ending?) "He will be, because the bible teaches He is eternal and time has no power over Him", but that is not an answer to these questions, it leaves doubt.

I often suffer from self-imposed tunnel vision. This means my visual field and focus becomes severely constricted. In fact, I've had friends walking toward me who practically had to tackle me to get my attention.
A forwarded email has given me reason to reevaluate the pace of my life. Apparently, The Washington Post conducted a social experiment that won them a Pulitzer for a story published in April 2007.
The feature told about a cold January morning when a man sat at a metr ...

A cool drink on a hot afternoon can make you feel refreshed. What is your favorite? There are several options but some are full of calories.
Energy drinks can have as much as 6 teaspoons of sugar and three times the caffeine in a can of cola. Use a straw when drinking an energy drink as they are acidic and can cause dental erosion.

Isn’t it good when children obey their parents? If you tell your child to clean his/her room, for instance, aren’t you happy when they do it? And when you ask them to do it, it is not a, "if you want to", but you really expect it to be done.

The suspension bridge at Bend is the only one of its kind still maintained by the state. A religious lawyer asked Jesus to name the first and greatest commandment. Jesus did not hesitate. He quoted the Old Testament book of Deuteronomy. "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might" (Deuteronomy 6:5, Matthew 22:37).
Here is a word under this heading of love.

The world applauds folks who are masters of spontaneous verbal come-backs. Somehow, they are "right-worded" in facing tenuous situations with grace.
Never seen sweating, they are unflappable rarities. Their words flow effortlessly while the rest of us melt to mush at binding times, our facial expressions and skin tones dead giveaways that our goats have been gotten.
We can make long lists of times that "duh"

The dog days of summer are here! I try to get outside work done first thing in the morning. The thought of extreme heat, work and an abundance of grasshoppers just isn’t appealing. I don’t have to mess with the garden anymore; the grasshoppers have stripped it bare. I’m not sure if the tomatoes will come back once these pesky critters die off.

Q&A with Dr. Janet Williams:
Stress is a part of all of our lives and can often be a motivating factor for us to push ourselves and achieve success. Teens, however, say they are feeling increasing levels of stress and most have not yet developed the proper coping mechanisms to keep stress levels in check.

We probably need not remind ourselves that we are in the midst of the "Dog Days" of summer. It appears that the ol’ thermometer is doing a pretty good job of that. WOW! How many folks can remember such a wet and wonderfully green countryside in July? I can’t remember a time when we had temperatures in the 70’s, 80’s and now 90’s, but not in the 100’s this time of year. What a Blessing these rains have been. The gardens are going crazy and the waterways are a flowing, even the lakes are in great shape except Buchannan and it is in better shape than it was in August.

Summer is here and most people seem to flock toward water whether it be the swimming pool out back or the beach. These activities go hand and hand with the importance to stay hydrated with clean and fresh water. Our dogs however, don’t know the difference between a Dasani and a toilet bowl.
Many people like to include their dogs when swimming in the pool and as long as you keep an eye on them, this can be a joy for both you and your K9 friend.
