The San Saba EMS and Fire Department need your help. There are many residences in San Saba County that do not have their 911 address posted in a conspicuous and visible location, and some that do not have an address posted whatsoever. The presence and visibility of your 911 address is critical to the law enforcement, EMS, and other emergency personnel who may be called upon to respond to an emergency at your residence.

As He began the 33rd year of His life, it was like no other. The only difference was, He would not live to be 34. And He knew this. If you knew this was your last year to live, would you do anything different? I would venture to say that most people reading this would say, "yes".

We have been having some very cold weather this past week, but warmer temperatures are in the forecast with a good chance for some rain later this week. It has been sometime since we have seen any moisture. With the freezing weather in Florida, I imagine we can expect some higher prices for our fruits and vegetables. Reading Recommendations: Working Stiff, Annelise Ryan Mattie Winston's decision to change careers had nothing to do with a mid-life crisis or desire to suddenly spend a lot of time with a bunch of corpses. But catching her surgeon husband David Winston with R.N. Karen Owenby was enough to make Mattie never want to show her face again in the hospital where they both worked.

I may not be an expert in economics, but I have survived difficult times and prospered in spite of having little money. My first lessons in overcoming challenging financial crises came from my mom. When my mother divorced my dad, she lost the financial security he had provided. This meant that this woman — without a formal work history or higher education — had to find a way to support herself and her remaining child at home – me.

Doing for Others, Part 2 A couple of weeks ago I talked about the pitfalls of giving handmade gifts to others.
