John 1:14 "And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, and we beheld His glory, the glory as the only begotten of the Father; full of grace and truth."
This scripture is not the most memorized verse in your Bible, but many Bible scholars describe it as the most important message in the Bible.

What is a whole grain? We hear more and more about whole grains in the news, in magazines and on the internet now. Whole grains or foods that are made from whole grains contain all three parts of the grain—the germ, endosperm and bran. When I walked to the building the other morning, I found it rather difficult. Here lately we have all been made aware of the “wind blown look” as most of us have been outside in the wind. At least we all look the same when we arrive and one is not left untouched by the wind.

We were awakened about 3 AM this Monday morning by a very loud clap of thunder followed by a loss of electricity. The kerosene lamps and candles were brought out.
It's amazing how we depend on electricity and how much we miss it when it goes off. All was well, though, because the coffee was already made when the power went off.

I have watched my grandparents look many times to the skies to see if there were any rain clouds forming. I also saw my grandfather plant cotton when it was dry or no moisture. One problem we face today with fewer people living on farms or ranches is that depending on God may seem distant or not necessary.

A mother asked her little girl, "Did you say your prayers last night?"
"Well," she answered, "I got down on my knees and started to say them. But all of a sudden I thought, "I bet God gets tired of our prayers." So I crawled into bed and told Him the story of the three bears.
But a sincere prayer never tires God.

What is the primary sign of the presence of the Holy Spirit in the life of an individual? First of all, we better define the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is a person not simply a force. He is the Spirit of God. He is the person who spoke through the prophets.

The news this week is light. It must have washed away with rain. Everyone is excited about the rain and that is about all they are talking about. More than 3 ½ inches of rain fell by 2:30 p.m. and light rain was still coming down at 3:00 p.m.
The river was rising and running out its banks.

I’m sitting here waiting for the rain. It has drizzled here off and on but only enough to wet the top layer. Although no one wants big storms, we sure need a good frog strangling rain! My son, daughter-in-law and granddaughter are on their way back from Lubbock. I hope they are not running into any heavy rains!

As people get older, their tastes may change, energy needs change and even the desire to eat may also change. When this happens, older adults may find it more challenging to consume all of the nutrients their bodies need to maintain good health.
Loss of appetite may have many causes including digestive problems, side effects from medications, loneliness, anxiety and depression.

Your child can learn to resist alcohol or anything else he or she may feel pressured into. Let him or her know that the best way to say “no” is to be assertive—that is, say no and mean it.
Resist the pressure to drink.
Say no and let them know you mean it.
