GENESIS 1:1 “ In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.”
If any person will read and study the history of creation they will be greatly blessed; and they should be ashamed if they have not already done that. We will not waste space by writing scripture to prove comment for this message because all who are interested will not need that repetition of facts. The Bible reveals that God not only created the heaven and the earth, but He also created every thing in them.

The one thing that every one has is garbage. Each day there are things that we dispense of that we no longer need. Some of it may be in our kitchens when we are preparing food. Other times we throw out things that have collected in our offices that are useless.

Ancient Indians of The Southwest, Alfred Tamarin and Shirley Glubok
The remais of great structures of adobe and stone still stand under the southwestern sun, silent and empty, the voices of their Indian inhabitants still for centuries. Where did they come from, the ancient ones, the Anasazi people, who lived on the mesa tops and in the cliff dwellings?

My apologies for missing last week’s edition of the “News”, but R. Barker and Yrs. Truly had to be out of town on extremely urgent business. You see, the last week of Mule Deer season was winding down out in the Trans-Pecos, and being the devoted hunters we are, could hardly miss that sacred event.

Receipts totaled 7059 head for the week. Stocker steers sold $2 to $4 higher and stocker heifers sold $2 higher. Feeder steers and heifers sold steady while packer cows and bulls showed no change. In observance of Christmas, we will not be having sales on December 20, 24, 27 and 31.

Busy, that’s the word for this month, just plain busy. I just love it! Although you run into a Grinch here and there; fact of the matter is people try to be nice at this time of the year. I don’t understand those people who want to put an end to Christmas and Santa Claus.

The San Saba Lady Dillos had a great week of basketball as they captured five wins and ran their season record to 11-3. We played last Tuesday against Lago Vista and soundly defeated the Lady Vikings once again by a score of 74-30. We played a sluggish first half which might’ve been due to the roller coaster ride that we were on as we traveled several “goat trails” to get to the school.
