San Saba 8th Grade Basketball Report

The San Saba 8th grade boys’ basketball team has started the season off with a bang. After winning the district championship in football they are off to a 2-0 start in basketball. The squad started it’s season off in Centerville on Monday 16th. After a slow start in first quarter, the Dillos raced out to a 30-7 lead at halftime.

San Saba ISD Middle School competes in UIL Virtual Meet

Last week the San Saba Middle School participated in an online virtual UIL competition with approximately 24 other schools across the state of Texas, with as many as 243 students competing in one given event. The schools ranged from 1A-6A, and the meet offered eight UIL events.

Richland Springs Pee Wee 6-Man football key to successful high school program

Football starts early at Richland Springs. If you wonder why football is engrained in Coyote traditions, just look at the pride developed in the pee wee program. Several years ago Coach Jerry Burkhart started the 6-Man Pee Wee Football Association. The program has grown over the past years to include many 6-man communities across Texas.

SSMS celebrates Red Ribbon Week

During the final week of October, the San Saba Middle School Student Council organized a red ribbon campaign for their campus that included decorations, handouts, daily announcements, and daily themes. Student council representatives decorated the school with red ribbons and placed an individual ribbon on each student’s locker.
