5th and 6th Grade Armadillos advance to championship for 2nd time in 3 years

San Saba (3-3) defeated Liberty Hill (5-1) last Saturday 19-13. The hard fought win helped the Dillos move on to the division 2 championship. San Saba won the toss and elected to receive. Jackson Nelson, JT Moreno, Jett Hibler, Cutter Daniels and Daniel Herrera opened up huge holes on the opening drive. James Whitney had several good runs before he finally went off the right side for a 30 yd touchdown. John Samual May dove over the middle for the extra point (kicking an extra point is worth two in the youth league). This brought the score 7-0 midway through the 1st. On the defensive front we had Mauricio Rodriguez, Johnny Meador and Christian Van Bibber.
