Mary Lou Garrett Hopkins

Mary Lou Garrett Hopkins, 81, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully Sunday, January 12th, at Methodist Central Hospital, surrounded by her family and loved ones.  Arrangements are pending. In lieu of flowers the family requests that memorials be made to the Texas Scottish Rite Hospital for  Children, 2222 Wellborn Street, Dallas, Texas 75219.Mary Lou was born February  7th, 1932, in San Angelo, Texas to Coy and Annie Mikeska Garrett. She graduated from Paint Rock High School in 1949 and received an Associate Arts degree from Angelo State College in 1951. She married Davis Hopkins of Richland Springs, Texas on December 8, 1951 and they resided together in Grand Prairie for 62 years where they raised two children, Ronnie and Dee Ann. She loved spending time with family and friends and was active in the Eastern Star, serving as Worthy Matron. She

J. M. (Jim) Gage

J. M. (Jim) Gage, 94, of San Saba, TX, went home to be with his Lord Jesus Christ on Saturday, January, 11, 2014, in Corsicana, TX. Funeral services were held at the Blaylock Funeral Chapel in San Saba on January 14, 2014, with Rev. Chris Osborne, Senior Pastor of Central Baptist Church of College Station, Texas, officiating. Interment followed in the San Saba City Cemetery. He was born in San Saba on February 22, 1919, to Jonas M. and Bertha Gage and was a lifelong resident of San Saba. In 1937, he graduated from San Saba High School in three years and was a self educated man in many disciplines. He served in the Armored Division in the U.S. Army Tank Corps during World War II, stationed in Fort Riley, Kansas. He was scheduled for overseas duty when a tank accident in 1945 resulted in a broken back and rehabilitation. After recovery, he was assigned

Eva Jean Soto Delgado

Eva Jean Soto Delgado, 55, of Lampasas died Dec. 25, 2013, at Rollins Brook Community Hospital in Lampasas. A viewing was held, and the body was cremated. Mrs. Delgado was born May 17, 1958, in San Saba, the daughter of Joe Walter Soto and Gabina Hernandez. She had resided in Lampasas most of her life. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church. Survivors include her mother, Gabina Botello of Lometa;  a son, Ricky Delgado of Baird; daughters, Norma Jean Soto of Leander, and Michelle Delgado of Baird; a brother, Alonzo Botello of Lometa; sisters, Mary Ann Soto of Fort Worth, and Teresa A. McKenzie of Lampasas; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father and stepfather, and by sisters, Irma Soto and JoAnn Valles.

States Department of Agriculture until her retirement. Jean was a Christian by faith; she was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
