American Legion to sponsor local student

The Wiley B. Murray Post No. 27 of San Saba will be the sponsor of a local student of San Saba High School for the upcoming “Boys State” program this summer. Stone Harrison Sealy, currently a junior, has been selected to attend. Born in Austin, Stone is the son of Belle and Cole Sealy and has one younger sister named Saige.

Commissioners review Courthouse renovation plans

A Bi-monthly San Saba County Commissioners Court was held on Monday, May 11th at 9:00 a.m. in the County Judge’s Chambers. County Judge Byron Theodosis called the Court to order and welcomed everyone. Commissioner Kenley Kroll gave the invocation followed by everyone joining for the pledges to the American and Texas flags.

San Saba Rodeo Association presents 77th Annual Rodeo

Johnny Hoyle’s Cadillac Rodeo Company will be the stock contractor of this year’s exciting event. Johnny Hoyle has been named CPRA contractor of the year for the past eight years. This rodeo is sanctioned by UPRA-CPRA.

The San Saba City Council held a Public Hearing before the Regular Session on Tuesday, May 12th at 6:00p.m. at the City Hall. Mayor Ken Jordan called the Session to order announcing a quorum present with Mayor Pro-Tem Martha L. Whitten absent.

CTTC Gives Donations to Area Volunteer Fire Departments

Each year Central Texas Telephone Cooperative gives donations to seventeen volunteer fire departments within its service area. Grand re-opening of San Saba's "Mill Pond Sunny Beach" May 30th

Saturday, May 30, 2015 will officially usher in summer time and the Grand Re-Opening of San Saba's Mill Pond SUNNY BEACH! Festivities will kick off that morning with the spectacular "Up A Creek Rentals" featuring canoe, kayak, peddle boats, and tube rentals.
